Frequently Asked Questions

Registration

  • Currently, we don't have a refund policy, barring extreme circumstances, in which you will need to email bod@belegarth.com to discuss refund. If you know someone who still needs to pre-register, you can transfer the registration to them and collect payment from them that way.

Volunteering

Armageddon requires over 1500 hours of volunteer hours at the event in order to happen! Volunteering puts you in our raffle to win fun prizes from free entry to Plastidip shields, free entry to future events, and more, and it is also a great way to meet new people while giving back to the community. Wanna be a part of that? Here’s a few ways to get involved.

  1. Click here for general volunteering.

  2. Please check our social media (Facebook and Discord) for the master volunteer signup schedule for specific times.

  3. Please reach out to the listed area heads if you have a specific area you’d like to volunteer in.

Camping

    • We will require camps to have a sign or banner at the entrance with the camp master's name and the camp name on it.

    • All camps will be assigned a lot number, which must also be displayed and will be provided by the event so that we can better maintain a map for security purposes.

    • We are encouraging groups to put up camp borders/boundaries of some type around their areas as well as display banners at their preferred camp entrance to improve the event's ambience.

    • Camps will maintain walking pathways and will not block walking/driving paths for staff, site staff, or emergency vehicles. Failure to comply may result in a request to move tents or structures.

  • You can pre-register your group to secure a camping spot for Geddon prior to land grab at Gates opening. Once you have 10 people for your camp pre-regged, reach out to bod@belegarth.com with your list of pre-reged names; we will confirm your land grab spot via email. This does not affect any legacy camps that have previous arrangements with Billie Creek Village.

  • Fill out the camp master form here.

  • Wanderer’s Keep (headed this year by Lunakit Fae) is our home for those who haven’t yet found a forever camping home. Formerly known as Unaffiliated camp, its location is on the map.

Parking

  • On our map you will see parking areas. We have free parking in the front, and a $10 parking lot in the back of the event site. The $10 parking pass will be available in the general store

We will also be giving one parking pass per 10 people pre-registered to a campsite.

Night Fighting Rules

The following limitations apply for night fighting:

  • No weapons over 6’

  • No projectiles

Weapons Check

For purposes of check, weapons are defined as the following (Class 2 and Class 3 only over 48” will be referred to as Long weapons; Class 1 and Class 3 only under 48” will be referred to as Short weapons)

Melee Weapons Check

    • Short weapons will be checked every other day.

    • Long weapons will be checked every day.

    • Shields and armor only need to be checked once.

    • Weapons checked during night check do not need to be checked the following morning.

      • ex. A short weapon passed at Thursday night check does not need to be checked on Friday, but will need to go through Saturday morning check.

  • Melee Check will be open from 10am-12pm and 7pm-8pm.

    • Melee weapons will be tested in DMV style (single stations, stay with your equipment), tagged, and returned back to you directly.

    • There will be someone who can check Short weapons and shields in the Long weapons lane so people don't have to go through separate lines.

    • “Bring a red, back a red”. If you bring 10 Class 2 & 3 Weapons, you will back 10 Class 2 & 3 Weapons.

    • Melee will go through Pre-Check, for any initial concerns with construction or rule parameters, then move to Hit Testing. Weapons which pass and can be used will be tagged.

    • Weapons that do not pass will be marked with brief notes on failure reasons and set aside. Failed weapons with "fixable" issues may be retrieved, fixed, and returned to check to be rechecked.

  • Just keep in mind that our weapons check runs on volunteers and treat folks respectfully. Pre-Check your gear by making sure you can meet rule parameters, and leave any failing gear at camp. If you would like to volunteer, we can find a spot for you based on your comfort level and experience.

Missile Weapons Check

  • Class 4 & 5 weapons, bows, and crossbows will be checked every day.

    • Missile Check will close thirty (30) minutes prior to Melee Check closing. Missile Check is open from 10am-11:30am).

    • If you are unable to attend missile check during the posted times, you may find a Field Marshal to assist with getting your bow/crossbow or javelins/rocks tested. Checkers reserve the right to limit the number of items being checked after Check closes, including arrows or bolts. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

    • Combatants utilizing bows and/or crossbows must attend ONE Archery Certification class before they participate on the fighting field using that style. This class goes over Book of War rules relating to bows/crossbows. Participants unable to comply with class requirements will be removed from field fighting and may potentially removed from the event.

    • Archery Certification Class will be taught daily at Weapons Check at 10:30am, 11am, 11:30am, and 12pm.

    • Missile Check is drop and go, with the exception of Bows. This means you will leave your arrows/bolts/rocks/javelins with weapons check and they will be placed into a passing pile/area. Announcements will be made when passing gear is available to be picked up.

    • Bows and Crossbows will be tested in DMV style (single stations, stay with your equipment), stickered, and returned back to you directly.

    • Missiles will go through Pre-Check, for any initial concerns with construction or rule parameters, then move to Hit Testing, where they will be fired/thrown per Book of War. Missiles which pass and can be used will be stickered (rocks excluded).

    • Missiles that do not pass will be marked and placed into a container organized by type of failure (fletchings, dog-ears, knocks, draw stops, etc). Failed missiles with "fixable" issues may be retrieved, fixed, and returned to check to be rechecked.

    • Missiles which fail for hit or significant safety concerns will be impounded and will be released to the owner by a Lead/Head of Missile Check.

  • Just keep in mind that our weapons check runs on volunteers and treat folks respectfully. Pre-Check your gear by making sure you can meet rule parameters, and leave any failing gear at camp. If you would like to volunteer, we can find a spot for you based on your comfort level and experience.
